January PTO Meeting
Dear CP Smith families and friends…
I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday break! And now we find ourselves getting back into the routine of school again with our children.
This Monday night is our monthly PTO meeting. Please join us on Monday, January 12th from 5:30pm – 7pm in the Learning Center. Childcare will be provided in the gym as will pizza for dinner(please bring a few dollars to help cover the cost if you can).
We look forward to seeing you there!

NEWS FLASH!
- Hey everybody, don’t forget the Scholastic book fair this week! You can drop in after school until 3:30 or on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. See you there!!
- We are so excited to offer the Kids Only Shopping Extravaganza again this year! It is a great event that allows kids to do their holiday gift shopping independently and at minimal cost. To make it successful we need your castoffs; books, games, toys, jewelry, mugs, decorations, house wares, whatever you are no longer using. We also need gift bags and wrapping materials. Donations can be dropped at the school office. Thanks!
To volunteer as a “sales associate” at the Extravaganza on December 8 (one of the most fun jobs the PTO has to offer), sign up in the main office or contact us at CPSmithPTO@gmail.com.
- Square One Art Fundraiser: The kids have been hard at work making great art to provide you with a unique gift buying opportunity, products decorated with your child’s art! Square One offers mugs, phone cases, tote bags, stationery, ornaments, and more. Look for order forms coming home to you next week. Proceeds from this sale will help pay for upcoming field trips.
- Holiday Wreath Sale: Order forms for fresh, beautiful, locally made wreaths will be coming home in your child’s backpack. To volunteer to be a neighborhood captain (meaning you collect and distribute orders in your neighborhood) contact Sue Chayer at SueChayer98 (at) gmail (dot) com.
- What is important to you? Our next PTO meeting is Monday November 10. Please let us know if you have concerns or topics you would like to have addressed at the meeting. Is there a problem we should be working on, a speaker you would like to hear, a program you think would be beneficial? Great schools are made by great minds working together!
