Book drive for Summer Reading!!

Dear Smith families,

This year, CP Smith School PTO is partnering with the Sustainability Academy PTO to send each of our students home with several books for summer reading!

Please donate children’s books including picture books, chapter books, and YA (young adult) books in both fiction and non-fiction.  If your family has outgrown books that are still in good condition we would love to have them.

We would also be pleased to accept monetary donations to make sure we have enough books for all of the students.  Checks can be written to CP Smith PTO or Sustainability Academy PTO.  Please drop donations at CP Smith School, the Sustainability Academy, or the front porch of 100 Dodds Ct by June 9.  Checks can be mailed to CP Smith School, 332 Ethan Allen Parkway, Burlington 05408.  All proceeds will be shared between the two schools.

Thank you, Smith families, for all you do to support Burlington’s students!  You are the best and we couldn’t do it without you!

Hey, Everyone! Listen up!

Smith families,

Please come to the PTO meeting Monday, 5/7 at 5:30 PM in the Smith library, even if you have never been before!

We need to:

  1. discuss some changes that are coming at us next fall, (new principal, place-based learning, etc.)
  2. confirm PTO officers for 2017-18 (president, VP, treasurer)
  3. lay out the rest of the year’s activities and’
  4. fire up the picnic committee

We all know that a healthy democracy depends on participation.  Our school is the perfect place to commit to making the world a better place, from the ground up.

Please come and put in your two cents!

Pizza and childcare will be available.
