Kids Only Shopping Extravaganza

The 17th Annual Kids Only Shopping Extravaganza is only a month away!  On December 3rd CP Smith students will get an opportunity to shop for their families from items donated by you and other community members. We are collecting items now through November 30th.

We are looking for your “white elephants,” garage sale type items that you are ready to discard but that might be a treasure to someone else. We accept all kinds of things; toys, books, games, household, items, tools, jewelry, stationery, gift bags, etc. We ask that you do not donate clothing or stuffed animals.

Here is how the EXTRAVAGANZA works:

-C.P. Smith neighbors and families donate new and used items to be sold at the EXTRAVAGANZA!

-Your donated items can be dropped off in the main office at CP Smith, at 54 Rivermount Terrace, or on the front porch of 100 Dodds Ct. (On the corner of Shore and Dodds) from now until Friday, November 30th.

-On Monday December 3rd, all the students will be given the opportunity to shop for the people on their list.

-The items will cost $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, or $2.00.

-We love donations of gift bags and boxes so we can send kids home with gifts ready to give.

This is honestly one of the best days of the year at CP Smith. You wouldn’t believe how earnestly and carefully students consider what to buy for their families and how much pleasure they get from these donated treasures. It is a joy to behold!

Thank you in advance for your donations and for supporting the C.P. Smith community. We are looking forward to this awesome event! If you have any questions please feel free to contact Karen Ruben at 315-369-8966 kmitchell2ruben@yahoo.com

Pumpkin Raffle Next Week

Pumpkin Raffle 2018

Next week our Pumpkin Raffle is happening all week before school.  Students will be able to purchase raffle tickets for 25 cents each, and use them to enter the raffle(s) for whichever pumpkin they fancy!  At the Friday Community Meeting, winners will be announced, and they will get to take their pumpkins home that afternoon.

We can’t wait to see what the staff have come up with this year!

The Coin Clash is Coming!

Coin Clash FB graphic

Hello everyone!  Have you checked your student’s folder?  This week they should have brought home a flyer about our upcoming Coin Clash, which is happening all next week.  This is a game where coins are worth points, and your student is playing against the other classes in their wing of the school.  So if you’ve got coins lying around, they’ll probably be asking for them soon!  Pennies bring a class’s score up, while nickels, dimes, and quarters bring it down.  Students can put coins into the containers for ANY classes in their wing.
