Traditionally celebrated the first week of May, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is an opportunity to shower our teachers and staff with gratitude. It’s our chance to show them how important they are. CP Smith teachers rock! The PTO is helping to support efforts to thank our teachers and staff in a variety of ways. As in years past, we’re organizing a gift card raffle for next week. All teachers and staff will have their names entered in the raffle and on Friday, May 6th, we’ll draw the winners. If you are able, please consider donating a gift card for this event, for any retailer, food vendor, etc., in any amount. The more gift cards we have, the more winners there will be! If you’d like to participate, your contribution can be given to Nancy Winn in the front office, or contact Amy Kiviranna at secretary@cpsmithpto.com to arrange a pick up or with any questions. Gift cards will need to be received by Thursday, May 5th! Thanks for considering!
There are many ways to show appreciation to teachers and staff, and who doesn’t love a handwritten card or note? Consider supporting your student in taking some time to express their thanks with words or art. A handmade card, sign, etc. would be a lovely surprise for your student’s school supports! Included below is a form letter that might help younger students express their thoughts. It can be tailored in any way you see fit, but wouldn’t it be cool for teachers and staff to receive a bunch of these or other cards and notes during the week?
